Since graduating in 2005 Tafy has spent the last 10 years working with women. Over that time her interest continued to develop in gaining skills in pelvic health for both men and women. She holds post graduate qualifications in Exercise for Women and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation from the University of Melbourne and has trained in Pilates. In addition to her role as Principal Physiotherapist at IAP, she was consulting at the Royal Women’s hospital over the last 7 years which has empowered her to deliver a holistic whole person approach in her treatments.
She is experienced in the management of pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions (including coccyx pain, pelvic girdle pain and thoracic pain), return to sport after childbirth, incontinence, prolapse, chronic pelvic pain, perineal trauma, mastitis, pre and post-operative pelvic surgery rehabilitation and pre and postnatal abdominal and pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. Tafy has a patient- centred hands on approach in working with a broad spectrum of patients. She is also a sessional tutor at the University of Melbourne. Outside work she enjoys traveling, running, spending time with family and keeping up with her three very active boys. She enjoys being an active member in the following:

Gaaya completed her Master of Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in Bendigo, establishing a strong foundation in her field. She has since worked in private practice, where she has gained experience in treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions alongside pelvic health issues affecting both men and women. Gaaya’s specific interests lie in women’s health, pregnancy-related conditions, and pelvic floor health. She is dedicated to providing individually tailored treatment plans that prioritize the best care with integrity and empathy. Additionally, Gaaya has a keen interest in injury rehabilitation and strives to help patients achieve their specific goals through effective and personalized treatment.
Beyond her professional commitments, Gaaya finds joy in spending time with friends and family, exploring different cultural cuisines, and indulging in gastronomic adventures. She also maintains her own well-being by practicing yoga and engaging in strength training at the gym, embracing a holistic approach to health and wellness.

Shuchi completed her Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy and Master’s in Sports in 2008, establishing a solid foundation in her field. Since then, she has gained extensive experience working in various private and public healthcare settings, expanding her expertise and honing her skills.
With a deep-rooted interest in women’s health and pelvic health, Shuchi pursued further postgraduate studies in these areas. By combining her knowledge in women’s health with her background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, she adopts a holistic approach to patient care and treatment. Shuchi’s particular focus lies in working with pregnant and postpartum women, as she recognizes and understands the unique challenges they face. She is passionate about promoting complete well-being and believes in the power of exercise and education to empower women in managing their conditions throughout different life stages.
Outside of her professional commitments, Shuchi enjoys engaging in various activities that contribute to her personal well-being. She finds joy in cycling, classical Indian dance, and practicing yoga, embracing a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle

Louise has extensive exprience and dedication to women’s health. With postgraduate certifications in pelvic floor, continence, exercise, and women’s health, Louise is committed to empowering women through their wellness journeys. Her fervor lies in assisting women facing pelvic pain and girdle pain, guiding them to regain control of their bodies and lives. Louise excels in designing personalized exercise plans, aiding safe postnatal returns to exercise, and accommodating movement even after pelvic girdle pain develops, whether in individual sessions or group classes. Drawing from her own experiences as a mother of two, Louise understands the balancing act of life. Her background in yoga, Pilates, outdoor activities, coupled with expertise in martial arts and massage therapy for elite sports teams, reflects her holistic approach to well-being.

Min completed her Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in 2005. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in various areas of physiotherapy, working in both hospital and private practice settings in Melbourne and the UK. Her expertise spans across paediatric, orthopaedic, and rehabilitation physiotherapy.
Min’s interest in Women’s Health blossomed a decade ago when she began focusing on pre and postnatal care and pelvic floor rehabilitation. Recognizing the importance of specialized knowledge in this area, she pursued postgraduate studies in pelvic health, exercises for women, and pelvic girdle pain. This additional training enables her to provide comprehensive care and tailored treatment plans for women with various pelvic health concerns.
Min strongly believes in delivering personalized treatment that is customized to each individual’s specific needs. By tailoring her approach, she aims to achieve the most positive outcomes and improve her clients’ overall quality of life.
Outside of her professional life, Min is a dedicated mother who spends her time chasing after her two young children. Together, they enjoy activities such as music, baking, and sustainable gardening, creating a well-rounded and fulfilling lifestyle.

Jenny is a highly experienced physiotherapist having worked in numerous and varied settings since graduating from the University of Queensland. With her extensive expertise, she has successfully treated a wide range of conditions in individuals of all ages. One area where Jenny excels is in managing chronic pain, utilizing P.S.H. therapy. She understands the intricate relationship between physical and psychological factors contributing to chronic pain, and she employs a holistic approach to address both aspects, aiming for long-term relief and improved quality of life for her patients.
Jenny’s passion for music and dance has shaped her unique approach to therapy, she runs the Saturday conditioning classes. These classes not only provide physical conditioning but also create a joyful and engaging atmosphere. By incorporating music and dance into the exercises, offering a dynamic and enjoyable experience promoting both physical fitness and emotional well-being.
In addition to her expertise in chronic pain management and her innovative classes, Jenny fosters close collaboration with her clients in managing pelvic health conditions such as bladder and bowel issues. She believes in the importance of actively involving individuals in their own healing journey. By understanding their specific needs and goals, Jenny tailors her interventions and empowers her clients to take ownership of their well-being.

Shikuffa is currently enrolled in the osteopathy program at RMIT, delving into the complexities of anatomy. She plays a role in the admin team, and her upbeat and cheerful demeanor is hard to miss. In addition to her studies, Shikuffa enjoys literature and travel in addition to spending time with family and friends. “Lifes a journey and I’m loving every step!”
Anna is a warm and compassionate person and a tremendous addition to our practice. She’s amazing with handling all patient queries and appointments. She brings her many years of experience as a medical receptionist and implements her skills to provide a safe and friendly experience for all patients attending Inner Active Physiotherapy.
Anna enjoys cooking, gardening, going to the beach and dining out with family and friends.
Michelle is a warm and friendly receptionist, who spent the last 3 years as a Medical Receptionist at Epworth Hospital where she collaborated with medical staff to provide timely patient care. She is currently in the final year of completing a Bachelor Health Science (Naturopathy) at Torrens University and brings 25 years of employment in the allied health industry. In her spare time Michelle enjoys swimming, travelling, quilting, gardening, and keeping up with her two chocolate spoodle dogs.
